Spring Rally – Port-A-John Drags

At the Maggie Valley Spring Rally and other at our other Rallys in Maggie Valley we are hosting the 2018 “Port-A-John Drags”
Five (5) Different Racing Classes
Progressive Payout – Winner – $$$ & Trophy
Runner Up – $$$ & Trophy — Semi – $$$ & Trophy
Port-A-John Drags – Two Wheel Motorcycles Only with Rear Foot Pegs
Both motorcycles leave the starting line pulling a Port-A-John when the checkered flag is waved and the first Port-A-John to cross the finish line is the winner. There is no light tree so there is no dial-in time or breakout in Port-A-John Drags. All Motorcycles that fit the classes listed below can enter. There are five (5) different racing classes for motorcycles in Port-A-John Drags. After each round weight will be added to the sled just like in a tractor pull. Progressive Payout – Winner – $$$ & Trophy Runner Up – $$$ & Trophy Semi – $$$ & Trophy.
*** Drivers must have a valid unrestricted state or government issued driver’s license, with no driving restrictions.

$25.00 in advance includes Bike Tech and Driver Admission.
$30.00 at Rally includes Bike Tech and Driver Admission.
One (1) Buy Back — $10.00
Yes just like in all drag racing you do have to register and pay an entrée fee. Yes there is a purse paid in drag racing and we will do the same with Port-A-John Drags. You can enter your motorcycle in only one drag racing class. If you enter you motorcycle in the wrong class your entrée will be changes to be in the right class.
Class 1 — (C1 + #) = 1,000 CC and under — Street Stock
Class 2 — (C2 + #) = 1,001 CC to 1340 CC — Street Stock
Class 3 — (C3 + #) = 1341 CC to 1573 CC – Street Stock
Class 4 — (C4 + #) = 1574 CC and Up — Street Stock
M Class — (M + #) = Modified Engines or Bikes
All Two Wheel Motorcycles Only with Rear Foot Pegs that the Port-A-John Sled Drag Connections will mount safely onto your Motorcycle.
Tech Cards are included with your entry fee. All Motorcycles & Driver MUST Pass Tech to drag race.
Bike / Rider Requirements
All Bikes Entered to Drag Race Must Have Secure Mounted Rear Foot Pegs.
Operational front and rear brakes required on all machines.
Ignition cutoff switch required.
Throttles must be of positive spring return type or factory return
Chain Guard required to extend to center of rear sprocket.
Rear fender must be full width, extending behind rear axle and forward below the seat position or factory fenders on all motorcycles
Motorcycle cannot be pushed or pulled to start line
No bicycle parts allowed on any motorcycle
No hand shifted motorcycles
Leather jacket, leather gloves and leather boots or shoes (Riders Dress Safe)
All riders must wear a DOT approved helmet
*** Each motorcycle and rider must pass Tech and have signed waiver before pulling into staging lanes.
Upon reaching the head of the staging lanes, all vehicles must be prepared to fire and race. Failure to fire within an appropriate time limit is grounds for disqualification.
Vehicles missing a round of eliminations are considered losers for the missed round.
****Drivers committing unsafe acts or vehicles that exhibit unsafe characteristics under speed will be
disqualified at event director’s discretion. Event director’s decision is final.
**** The above rules are a guideline for bikes and driver. Safety is up-most important. We want everyone to be safe and have a great time Port-A-John drag Racing.
